The newsletter is produced to comply with the outreach requirements of the LCA’s charity status. It is compiled, collated and hand-delivered by our volunteer newsletter team.
It is issued 3 times a year - in early February, June and September - copy deadlines being about ten days before printing. The timing is dictated by key points during the year - the LCA Annual General Meeting in March (to give mandatory formal notice to members), Easter, summer holidays, and Christmas - to give readers timely updates on the many varied activities on offer through the Association.
Advertisements are charged on a non-profit basis which partly subsidises production costs. Inclusion of advertisements is subject to space available, the main activities of the Association having priority. Advertisers are invoiced by e-mail (or hard copy if required) once newsletters are issued.
Cheques should be made out to The Lawn (Swindon) Community Association and the envelope marked for the attention of Mary Fishlock, our newsletter team leader. They can be posted or handed in to the Community Centre office.
